Understand the categories and examples shown on a sample road-test sheet.

Video breakdown

Study the lesson by section

Each section below follows an explanation or demonstration in the video. Select a section to play from that point, then practise the skill with appropriate supervision.

Read the four driving situations on the example sheet

The video groups left turns, right turns, straight-through intersections and general driving. The numbers shown belong to that sample sheet and route; do not use them as a guaranteed error allowance on your own test.

0:45

Distinguish an error from a safety-critical situation

A missing signal and an unchecked move beside a cyclist are not equivalent. The latter may require examiner intervention. Learn the safety reason behind each skill rather than calculating how many mistakes you can afford.

1:09

Understand the failure examples without memorizing a formula

The instructor discusses missing skills, dangerous actions, violations and other issues. Examples include an unsafe left turn, reversing out of an intersection, speeding and curb contact. These illustrate risk; the actual result depends on the examiner’s assessment and official standards.

2:58

Use the global skills as a practice checklist

Observation, space margins, speed control, steering and communication run across the driving situations. The discussion of highlighted boxes and half marks describes the recording’s example, while parking and hazard perception are placed under general driving.
