Yield when the pedestrian enters toward your path

The first driver rushes a turn after the pedestrian steps into the crosswalk, and following cars repeat it. Your responsibility is to check and yield independently; another vehicle turning does not prove the crossing is clear.

Stop clearly instead of inching toward the pedestrian

A pedestrian may stop because your moving car feels threatening, not because they intend to give up the crossing. Hold still and leave the path open. Proceed only when the crossing and the rest of the turn are genuinely safe.
