Check the turn and the pedestrian’s actual path

After a checked lane change, the driver approaches green and observes a pedestrian walking away. A turn behind a person requires generous clearance and a fully safe path; do not squeeze close simply because they are moving away.

Yield when the pedestrian is approaching your turn path

If the pedestrian is walking toward the car’s path, wait instead of turning ahead of them because you think there is enough time. Continue watching for people entering from either side and refresh the right blind-spot check before moving.
